UPDATE ON STOCKDALE STAGING AREA

Marci Cunningham said...

"Carolyn Belli and I met with KC Water Agency staff and city staff at the staging area in May. We proposed a solution to the equestrian access problem that solved everyone's concerns but it has to go to the water agency's board for approval. The board meeting is not until later in June so we won't have a final solution to announce until after their board meeting."

Yes, this is fantastic news IF they actually do something about it. But we have learned to understand that the person who is promising things isn't always the one who does the planning. I think this situation fits that scenario.
1. We were promised a staging area with access.
2. We got the staging area but in the process, they DELETED the previous access that we already had!
3. Several interested parties were roused to meet with the engineer to discuss their concerns and were promised that the problems would be fixed.
4. Since that time, more gates and fences were added to block access.
SOOOOO...we will continue to wait for the promises to be fulfilled.
My question is...why wasn't it done right in the first place? Wouldn't that have been easier?
